The democratic way isn't always the right way. Originally, we wanted to take a staff vote to come up with a definitive Bitmob's Top 10 Games of E3. But since we split up the companies and booths, we all didn't get to see everything, so a collaborative list like that didn't really make much sense. So instead, we'll indulge our own egos by giving you our individual Top 10s (or 5s, for those who didn't feel like they saw 10 great games).
Again, individually, we did not see every title at the expo, so take these lists for what they're worth: our favorite games out of the ones that we got to experience ourselves. This is the stuff we're most excited to play in the upcoming months....
Dan "Shoe" Hsu, Co-Founder/Editor
"Although I wanted to give more recognition to the cool non-franchise games that I saw, like Limbo and Hydrophobia, I can't deny that I'm most excited about these titles here. I could've played Gears of War 3’s Beast mode all night long if the developers would've let me."
- Gears of War 3
- Crysis 2
- Star Wars: The Old Republic
- Portal 2
- Kirby's Epic Yarn
- True Crime
- Epic Mickey
- Donkey Kong Country Returns
- Halo: Reach
- Twisted Metal
Demian Linn, Co-Founder/Editor
Demian wasn't available for a quick quote, but since he's a man of few words, I'll just write it for him:
"...."
- XCOM
- Portal 2
- Child of Eden
- Dead Space 2
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution
- Star Wars: The Old Republic
- Kirby's Epic Yarn
- Twisted Metal
- Crysis 2
- Star Fox 3DS
"I walked away from E3 with one thought in my head:"
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5
"No one game exploded my senses like the Nintendo 3DS did, but that doesn't mean the games on display at E3 were junk. All of the games listed below will give players plenty of reasons to fork over their cash in the coming year."
- Epic Mickey
- Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater -- The Naked Sample
- Journey
- Brink
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned
- Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
- Twisted Metal
- Child of Eden
- Mortal Kombat
- Rock Band 3
"I'm a little disappointed in the sparseness of strategy titles at E3, and I'm especially saddened to see two separate series drop their tactical components. That's why two franchises I love, XCOM and Front Mission, rank so low, but at least we have Civilization 5 to save the day; I'm most excited to see how that game will push the genre's boundaries forward."
- Civilization 5
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution
- Journey
- Spec Ops: The Line
- Homefront
- XCOM
- Front Mission: Evolved
- Twisted Metal
- Vanquish
- WWE All Stars

Mike, how can you not put Epic Mickey number one?! lol
And Jason, that made me laugh.
It's amazing what you can tell of people's tastes by what games they look forward too.
@Lance: The truth is out: Mike's a bigger MvC nerd than he is a disney nerd.
The only game to hold No. 1 on more than one person's list? It's Civilization 5!
I think Journey sounds interesting, Doesn't sound like you everyday game.
of course thatgamecompany doesn't make normal games.
Jason, that's because it truly is the best game out of E3!
Shocked and a little insulted to see that Golden Sun: Dark Dawn didn't make anyones' list
@Brett - I know! Goofy is going to be pissed!
These were all good lists, but Jasmine's is closest to my heart. If I was ever going to say "screw this teaching thing, I'm going to be a games journalist" then I would make a site dedicated to the games no one else bothers to cover. Kudos!
@Pete I didn't get a chance to see it. Maybe I'll find time to take a look before it comes out!
@Lance Fighting game's always demo great. Playing it at the show was basically like playing it in an arcade. I still feel like I don't know half of what there is to know about Epic Mickey, on the other hand.
@shoes,
I hope you mean Gears3 story mode...the online play is always full of glichers.
I like what all the rest of you are excited about though.
Glad to see Lost in Shadow made somebody's list (a number one spot, no less)
Overall, though, I'd agree most with Shoe's list.
For that, Bryan, I'm gonna click the little plus sign next to your comment! ;)
I'm really surprised to see XCOM on the top of Demian Linn's list, considering a lot of people are disappointed with the new direction and that it looks like a generic shooter with ink blobs.
Anyone else wish Journey wasn't the new title by thatgamecompany, but the extremely rockin' arcade game based on the band Journey, complete with digitized heads? Man I want to play that again.
How did no one have Battle Tag on their lists..... you are all noobs LOL....that my friends is the future of gaming.....but seriosuly I would stab someone for a chance to play MvC3 for a few minutes.
So Demian likes Star Fox Command, the awful DS game that came out in 2006? I would think the buzz for that game would be pretty low at this year's E3 with Star Fox 64 3D debuting and all.
Sorry that came out a bit more dickish than I was going for.
Also, I got to agree with Pete. No one saw/liked Golden Sun? Shame.
When platformers become more exctiing than Halo: Reach, Bungie has a serious problem. Halo: Reach needs Master Chief and a richly detailed world. Maybe 343 Industries will make Halo fresh again?
Of course, Halo Reach is a must buy, but I agree that it isn't exciting right now.
@Jon: I agree. In fact, Brett first tried to trick me by saying Journey was a sequel to the arcade game (this was before I knew anything about it). :)
@Chase: Oops...thanks for the catch on Starfox!
I didn't get to see Golden Sun, sorry. :(
sequels sequels sequels !!!
