If Nintendo really wants to promote the visuals of the 3DS, it needs to figure out a way to show 3D graphics on a 2D computer screen for its trailers.

Video Blips:

• The games launching alongside the Nintendo 3DS range from so-so to awesome. Can you guess which are which? [GameTrailers]

Continue after the break for a look at the different approaches players can take in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, a developer diary for Slam Bolt Scrappers, and a preview of Captain America: Super Soldier.

• Deus Ex: Human Revolution lets players use a variety of tactics to solve problems. Unfortunately for the guard in the video, all three scenarios involve the hero hurting him.

• Here's the story of what Fire Hose Games had to go through before putting together their PAX East smash hit Slam Bolt Scrappers. In my mind, successful indie developers just pull amazing games out of thin air. Who would have guessed that they have to make mediocre prototypes first? [Joystiq]

• I'm going to give Captain America: Super Soldier a pass for featuring one of the most cliché video game enemies of all time: Nazis. Because really, that's the Captain's shtick -- he fights Nazis.

How come Nintendo's trailers always look the same? There's always that cheesy middle-American family smiling and saying lame things like, "Wow!" or "Awesome!" I'd like to see some punk-rocker kid with a mohawk.

I feel sorry for the Deus Ex guard. Jensen doesn't have much of a choice but to knock him out in various violent ways. And the designer narrator always sounds so happy. Lol.
