Wouldn't it be nice if a Toad version of Sir Isaac Newton came out with laws of gravity for the Super Mario Galaxy universe?

Video Blips:

• From the look of this trailer, Super Mario Galaxy 2 has that same "what the hell is going on?" charm that made the first game so great. Really though, what is going on? [Joystiq]

Continue after the break for a Red Dead Redemption trailer that focuses on the ladies, a Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight developer diary, and gameplay footage of the Hoth Mission Pack for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

• This video classifies the women of Red Dead Redemption as "sinners, saints, and survivors." Can you guess who's who? Start with the nun. She's likely a...? [GameVideos]

• Command & Conquer 4 looks like it's shaping up to be a solid real-time-strategy game for 2010. Sure, people aren't auctioning off beta keys for the game for $300 like that other RTS game, but we can't all be so lucky. [Joystiq]

• At first I thought, "Great, just what the world needs: another Star Wars Hoth level." Then I saw this Dark Jedi going to town on a bunch of wampas and an R2 unit and said, "OK, I'm cool with this." [GameTrailers]

Holy crap that Mario Galaxy 2 trailer is awesome. When the Mario Galaxy theme kicks in... chills. I can't wait!

Is it me or is the Mario Galaxy theme very reminiscent of Disney stuff?

Wow. That's weird. I clicked to comment specifically on Galaxy's music. I love the score to the first game so much!

Speaking of Mario Galaxy 2:

I am overjoyed.  May 23 release?  And Metroid: Other M on June 27?  Best summer of gaming ever.

@James: The Battlerock Galaxy theme is my favorite piece of music from this generation.  The Comet Observatory theme is no slouch either.

@Alejandro The whole soundtrack reminds me of Epcot. Probably why I love it so much.

What do you guys do? Listen to the soundtrack for pleasure outside of playing the game?

Is it possible they may not mess up THIS Star Wars game? Not counting KOTOR I think the Super series on SNES was the last set of really good SW games...

The Rouge Squadron games were pretty dope, as I remember. And this content is a DLC mission pack for the already released, so-so Star Wars: Force Unleashed. As for Force Unleashed 2? Who knows if it'll be any good.

I was worried that Super Mario Galaxy 2 wouldn't have enough new, but it looks awesome! I have a feeling it'll be pushed back to Fall though. Either that or Metroid M won't make its planned release date.

I don't know, I feel like in the Wii years at least, Nintendo has been quite secretive about their games and when they give a release date they stick to it. Things aren't like back in the N64 days. Ocarina of Time anyone?

It's not a bad setup either.  Both games will have minimal competition, and they're spread out enough that the likelihood of someone buying both games will be greater.  I think it's a smart move.
