Apparently, the guitar game Power Gig: Rise of the Sixstring features a storyline that doesn't consist of taking a band from the garage to a stadium. I know -- crazy, huh?

Video Blips:

• Power Gig Design Director Jack Davis dishes on the game's considerably interesting backstory...in the most lackluster and uninspired way. Maybe in this instance, the producers of the video should've gone with some kid who's doped up on energy drinks talk it up.

Continue after the break for a view of some of the locals of Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, a new Okamiden trailer, and a look at the book-to-game adaptation Classic Adventures: The Great Gatsby.

• The aesthetics and music in this trailer for Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light earn the game some serious style points in my book. I don't think running across the top of a rainbow could look any radder. [GameTrailers]

• If a new Okamiden trailer doesn't get you fired up, it's likely you missed its predecessor, Okami. If this is the case, I strongly urge you to finish the video blips and then rectify the situation, posthaste.

• Some company made a game based on one of the few books in high school that actually kept my interest: The Great Gatsby. Though I'm not necessarily big on the hidden-object genre, I prefer it over the latest trend of developers turning everything into first-person shooters. [I-Play
