Video Blips: LittleBigPlanet 2, Cardboard-Box Shenanigans, Enslaved Trailer, and More

With its catchy indie-rock song and title cards that look like they're drawn by hand, LittleBigPlanet 2 is the most hipsterish game I've seen since, well, LittleBigPlanet.

Video Blips:

• Whoa -- LittleBigPlanet 2 lets players make not just their own levels but their own games. I wonder if you tried to create LBP2 within the game itself, would the PlayStation 3 would just explode? [GameVideos]

Continue after the break for a sneaky Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker ad, the debut trailer for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and a nonalcoholic promo for Pong Toss Pro! Frat Party Games.

• Even though I don't know what the kids say in this Peace Walker commercial, I feel like it doesn't compromise the main point. Sneaking around in cardboard boxes is a universal language. [GameVideos]

• Alex Garland, the guy who wrote the script for 28 Days Later, is also working on the storyline for Enslaved. I know he's probably the best guy for the job, but I wonder if he feels like he's being typecast for writing end-of-days stories. [GameTrailers]

• Pong Toss Pro! Frat Party Games is just like Beirut (beer pong) but without the mess, cost, or hangover. But isn't that stuff part of the fun? Try whipping this game out at a party instead of a real beer pong setup and see how your guests respond. [GameTrailers]

LittleBig Planet 2 looks interesting. Now, if Media Molecule fixes the actual platforming aspect of the game, then I might buy the sequel. You can't ignore 2 million plus levels and counting.

I'm looking forward to seeing Enslaved when E3 comes around in a few weeks. I'm hoping Ninja Theory can do better than Heavenly Sword.

@Rakim, yeah, from what I played of the first LittleBigPlanet, I really enjoyed it, but the platforming elements always felt kind of floaty to me.
