What's your favorite Sega racing game? Tell us and win!

Rolling start? Nah, I'm more of a Virtua Racing type myself. That game spent more time in my Sega 32X than Doom, an impressive feat considering Baby Sebastian was all about f&%$ing up some cacodemons. (I was actually 16, but all the kids called me "Baby Sebastian" because I once ate 10 jars of Gerber Graduates meat sticks and vomited all over my Cookie Monster bib during musical chairs. Teenagers can be so cruel!)

Anyway, to celebrate the release of Sega Rally Online Arcade (that happened over a month ago), Bitmob is giving away five SROA XBLA codes. All you have to do is reminisce about your favorite Sega racing game. Is it Daytona? Is it Sonic R? Is it one of those Sega-made arcade games that you randomly see at a movie theater and think out loud, "What the hell is that?!"

Man, what ever happened to Road Rash? That was all the rage during the days of the 3D0.

I KNOW!! I'd love to see a current-gen version of it. Or would it be considered politically incorrect for some bizarre reason? :)

I assumed that this was your favorite game on a Sega console... Am I wrong? :D

Road Rash was indeed awesome. My favorite Sega racer is Out Run for the Master System. I dream of owning a red, convertible Ferrari to drive a hot blonde around. Although I’d settle for a brunette.

Hopefully you would take better care of your car than pretty much everyone who's ever played Outrun has with their Ferraris...

It's your favorite "Sega-made" racing game, to be precise. I was wondering how Road Rash got in here! :)

Ok, blame me for that then... :) If that's the case then I'd have to say Enduro Racer or Out Run. Both bring back crazy memories from my childhood. :)

Not that I mind, but I do find it slightly interesting that you seem to be driving (no pun intended, honestly,) traffic away from Bitmob by making people comment on YouTube.

Is it easier to pick a winner or are you looking to build subscribers for the YouTube page (or something else entirely?)

No judgment, just curious.

Our YouTube has been dormant for a while but we're working to build it back up now in order to produce cool, original video content.

These contests are kind of experiments to see what works and what doesn't. No matter what, we want to foster discussion instead of just "Pick me!" kinds of giveaways.

I came across Bitmob a couple of months ago and have since stuck the RSS feed to my browser so I don't miss much. Great articles and it's refreshing to see a different style of writing compared with most gaming sites. Keep it up! :)
