Loot Whoring has become some what a lost art in gaming after Diablo 2. How ever this year we were graced with two games that scratched this itch for many people. Now don't think of this as a bad thing, but I love Loot Whoring.
Between Borderlands and Torchlight there was a tight race about loot whoring and who would win. Each game has med supplies, Shield drops and weapons. Now the hard part wasn't who had better loot. For me it was how can you use the loot you have with other loot you are getting or can you do things to your loot.
As much as I love playing Borderlands for looting. With the chance to gamble your weapons abilities for more power and end up with nothing in torchlight sealed it as the winner.

Torchlight beats Sacred 2 -- but not by much -- for Best Loot Whoring Game of 2009. I know Borderlands has an impressive amount of guns, but Torchlight has a wide array of everything -- weapons, rings, armor. And a gun that's a fish!

I have yet to finish that game for 360 and don't think I have the time for it on the PS3. I so totally forgot about that game.
Sacred 2 definitely is high on the list of loot whoring games, although now that I'm playing Torchlight, there is just something about clicking on each piece of loot to pick it up that makes it seem that much more enjoyable.
