I have been trying to parse this all morning:  Will APB be released on the 360 or not?  Since EA has announced that they will publish the game on the PC, the XBox version has largely been left out of the discussion.

Maybe this has to do with the not-always-stellar level of online reporting that comes with games journalism.  From 1up.com: An article titled "EA to Publish APB; Console MMO from Crackdown devs becomes an EA partner" confusingly states that the game "is due next year on the PC."  Um, OK.  Or maybe it has to do with the several-headed corporate monster that is games publishing.  IGN's TeamXBox has a statement from 'a spokesperson' that "We’re not giving details out at the moment, but it is being developed for Xbox 360."  But they don't say if it's an EA spokesperson or a Realtime Worlds spokesperson, and we all know that 'developed' and 'published' are completely different things.

So... Do you know what the deal is?  Tell me, please.  This game looks like it's worth at least a few hours of my time, or as long as it would take to create some sort of tattooed super-slut and then spray cops with my machine gun, which is clearly the point of the whole thing.
