Journey

Here's the thing, Bitmobbers. We know what you've been playing.

OK, that sounded creepy. But we know because you've been writing about it already. The two hottest games on our site right now are thatgamecompany's silent sojourn, Journey, and BioWare's third session of space opera, Mass Effect 3. So you probably don't need our encouragement to write about them. But we're providing some anyway.

Most of the Mass Effect talk these days is about the ending, which has satisfied some and enraged others. But we're challenging you to tackle a different topic. (We know you're creative like that.)

As for Journey, the focus has been on that title's unique multiplayer system. But we're betting you can come up with something different there, too.

So here's how this is gonna go down:

1. Write any article related to Mass Effect 3 or Journey. A few hundred words will suffice, although you can go longer if you'd like.2

2. Make sure you put Mass Effect 3 or Journey in the tags for your article -- and don't forget to tag any other games you mention.

3. Post your articles on Bitmob by Tuesday, March 27. Since both of these games have been out for a while (and since Journey's so short), you should be able to wrap up your thoughts by then.

We'll publish collections of your articles next week. And if you've already written a piece on one of these games, never fear -- we'll be sure to include them.

All I need to do now is buy Journey.

Odd. I would've thought everything to say about these games has been said already. Then again, I haven't got round to playing ME3 yet and I don't own a PS3 for Journey, so I can only write about free games at the moment. ;_;

I'll get to this...*right* after I finish Mass Effect 2. ;)

Psh. Get with the times, Shoe! I mean, you don't have Michigan football or basketball to worry about for a few months. :)

At least you're not like me... I'm still trying to work my way through ME 1 lol. All this talk on Twitter and other game sites about ME3's ending has been driving me nuts and making me paranoid about spoilers -- because sooner or later, you know someone's gonna slip.

Giancarlo: It took me forever to finish ME1. I just had trouble finding the time.

Layton: Uh, recruiting is a year-long thing. ;) Spring football game is coming up. Our star freshman point guard is considering leaving for the NBA. Lots of stuff to keep me up at night!

At least I'm not alone with avoiding all the Mass Effect 3 spoilers. I finished ME 2 almost two weeks ago and I'm gearing up for a second play through. Just have to give my body time to recover from the lack of sleep that ME 2 inflicted on me (going to bed at 4am and getting up at 8am for about a month es no bueno). I had to play after everyone went to bed in order to enjoy it and not rush through it. Hoepefully Mass Effect 3 will deliver the goods in the following months. Hope bioware doesn't modfiy the game too much with all the FTC complaining (did the FTC take that request serious? I mean it is jsut a game, but  people are allowed to report offensive art so why not?)
