Miyamoto says, duh, of course a new Nintendo console is coming. Speaking to Edge, who questioned Nintendo's main man about the new-console rumors, Miyamoto said, "Don't ask!" The man behind Mario confirmed that -- as is typical -- Nintendo has been working on new hardware since the Wii was released. “Please wait," Miyamoto pleaded when pressed on the timing of the announcement. "Be patient until we decide.” Don't tell me how to live my life, Shiggy!
For $1.99, get an in-depth look into the making of Portal 2 from GameTrailers TV host Geoff Keighley. Keighley has been covering games for nearly 20 years and has been spelling "Jeff" wrong for much longer than that. Since beginning his television job, he has moved away from the 10,000-word making-of pieces that defined his career at Gamespot. This time, however, the 15,000-word story is packaged with interactivity and multimedia as an iPad app. The app is available now; if it's a success, expect to see a lot of other writers jump on the iPad bandwagon.

Going forward, all generations will be completely without the ability to play Yoshi's Topsy Turvy! Wait -- my editors have informed me that this is a good thing.
