Television personality Adam Sessler is in the news today. Have you seen his new look? It’s like he has a crew cut growing from his chin up, while his head is completely barren.
News Blips:
Adam Sessler has left G4 and the gaming television show X-Play that he had hosted since 1998. His last show was today, April 25. According to Kotaku, the split came down to a contract disagreement. “The Sess,” as the television host is known by his homies, was also G4’s Editor-In-Chief of game content. Sessler’s agent released a statement saying that he will continue his work consulting on film adaptations of video games. In related news, I’m thinking about a Kickstarter to fund bringing him into my living room to tell me about games. [GamesBeat]
Cryptic Studios, developer of several massively multiplayer online games, only just detected a security breach that occurred in December of 2010. The Star Trek Online creator has posted a notice about it on its company blog. According to that update, account names, handles, and passwords were all part of the affected database. “Even though the passwords were encrypted, it is apparent that the intruder has been able to crack some portion of the passwords in this database,” reads the Cryptic Studio’s website. The dev has automatically changed the passwords for those that were affected. Hopefully the team can find who did this, but what took them two years to discover the breach? I bet they were too busy playing World of Warcraft.
The Walking Dead: Episode 1, an adventure title from developer Telltale Games, will stumble brainlessly to Xbox Live Arcade this Friday. Microsoft’s main XBLA guy, Major Nelson (or Larry Hyrb if you’re his mother), confirmed on Twitter today that the comic-book adaptation will finally make it to Microsoft’s digital platform at the end of this week for 400 points ($4.99). The Walking Dead: Episode 1 has been eating the flesh of the living on PlayStation Network since Tuesday. The episodic adventures will follow a new character from the zombie books as he attempts to survive five installments in the series, including the last one which will be written by Book of Eli scribe Gary Whitta.
