I wonder if we will get spam comments on this article because it contains the phrase "1.5 times larger"?
News Blips:
Dark Souls to be 1.5 times larger than Demon's Souls. If my math is correct, that should equal out to 50 percent more chances to curse out the television, throw the controller, and invent new racial epithets to call the game. "It may feel even bigger to the players," said From Software producer Hitaka Miyazaki in an interview with 1UP. Miyazaki gave details on the story, saying that he "wanted to create a game where, ideally, the player's game play would become a story in itself." If that is the case, then I bet my narrative is going to be about dying...a lot.
Fable 3 DLC Traitor's Keep arriving on Xbox Live on March 1. Can't get enough Fable 3? Well I have the cure in an easy to swallow DLC. Traitor's Keep will come packed with three areas, titled Ravenscar Keep, Clockwork Island, and the Godwin Estate. Admission is a measly 560 Genuine Microsoft Points, which translates to $7.
Trials HD developer teases an iPhone game that will last players for 1000 days. RedLynx has released a mysterious tease about their new iOS title. They haven't revealed any information about gameplay or even a name for the title, but that hasn't stopped them from building up the hype. Here's the hook: Every day, for 1,000 days, the game will provide a new character and a new adventure. Seems like something that could only exist on a mobile platform, and it is interesting for that reason. After nearly three years, however, I can't image many people will still be playing the same game on their iPhone 7.
Study suggests that gamers take more risks while driving than non-gamers. Continental Tires performed a study that took 1000 gamers and 1000 "normal folk" and asked them about their driving habits. While gamers were more confident about their skills, they were also twice as likely to have filed an insurance claim and to have run a red light in the last twelve months. However, non-gamers take an average of one more attempt to pass their driving test and have had twice as many crashes as gamers. The issue seems to be that people who have played a lot of driving simulators have better reaction times and improved understanding of the mechanics of maneuvering a car. When it comes to assessing risk, however, gamers fall behind. [Next-Gen]
