Capcom and iam8bit are teaming up to pass out E-Tanks in Los Angeles to coincide with the 2009 Video Game Awards. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 12th, from 2pm-5pm in downtown LA. Any Angelinos plan on checking it out so we can all find out what's in the box? If it's merely energy for robots, consider us disappointed. [Capcom-Unity]

Bad news for cheaters: The latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 patch disables the Javelin's detonate-upon-dying cheat, as well a few other exploits. The Xbox 360 version was patched up this morning while the PS3 version has already been fixed. Why does everyone have to go after the cheaters? They're just trying to have a little fun. [Joystiq]

Talking to Destructoid, the Video Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley teased that "the biggest thing in the show hasn't even been announced yet." A plethora of big name exclusive premieres (including Halo: Reach, a new Tron game, and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands) have already been announced. Furthermore, Keighley teased about the set of the VGA 2009 evolving throughout the show. Even though making fun of the VGA's is a time honored tradition, at least they're trying to make it less groan-inducing this year. [Destructoid

Dante's Inferno's producer, Jonathan Knight, knows if the game sells well, EA will want a sequel. Talking to G4TV, Knight expanded on some of the challenges that might pose since the source material isn't really adaptable for a video game sequel. Isn't the logical step to make the next game based in heaven? Or at least hell in the future! [G4TV]

Ugh, the VGAs are an embarrassment to the video game industry. Hopefully it's actually tolerable this year.

The VGA's are a joke since you can log into a computer and just rack up the votes. Now if I was a developer and not saying people do that, but some companies have a lot of employee's with many computers.

Just Saying.
