Wait, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 do you fight terrorists or pirates?

News Blips:

CODMW2

Private investigators captured an 18-year-old Miami resident for allegedly selling pirated copies of Modern Warfare 2. Christian Del Amo was able to successfully crack the game's code, resulting in rampant pirating online in addition to the bootleg copies he was selling himself. Maybe after the legal stuff is over Infinity Ward should hire him to make sure their games aren't hackable by 18 year olds anymore. [1UP]

Valve's Chet Faliszek feels that Xbox Live's community is "head and shoulders" above its PlayStation counterpart. For that matter, the company is not interested in releasing Left 4 Dead 2 on the PS3 any time soon since Xbox Live is more in line with how they intend the zombie shooter to be played. Hey PS3 fanboys, are you gonna let him talk to you guys like that?! [Destructoid]

Video game makers Konami are in talks to purchase Japanese music label Victor Entertainment. Though Universal Music LLC has also expressed interest in the label, insiders suggest Konami will likely make the acqusition. Times are rough these days -- video game companies have to diversify! [Kotaku]

It's been a rough first half of the (fiscal) year for Namco Bandai, as they've posted a $66.7 million loss. Luckily, the Ben 10 games have helped to keep the company moving along while Tekken 6 is anticipated to take them out of the red in the second half of the fiscal year. Maybe Namco Bandai should make like Konami and expand into different markets. [Joystiq]

No, I am not going to let him talk to me like that! Eff you Faliszek! I don't like Left 4 Dead, anyway!

But seriously, in the end they're just losing out on sales by not being part of the PS3 market.

I find it ironic that the developers of the most popular free online PC multiplayer network, which arguably killed the paid "Games for Windows Live" initiative, would support a paid service like Xbox Live rather than a free service like PSN.
