News Blips: Street Fighter 4 iPhone, No Final Fantasy 13 DLC, PS3 Motion Controller at GDC, and More

Can you still button mash in Street Fighter 4 on the iPhone? Not really, since it would technically be touch-screen mashing.

Capcom plans to bring Street Fighter 4 to the iPhone this March. Takeshi Tezuka, the head of Capcom's Mobile Content division, claims that this version of the game is "uncompromised and awesome." GamePro reports that the portable port will take advantage of Bluetooth technology to handle multiplayer. Imagine a game like this on the iPad -- it will instantly turn that 10-inch screen into a life-size arcade stick!

Speaking with PlayStation.blog, Final Fantasy 13 Battle Director Yuji Abe said that the development team has no plans to release the content that didn't make the game as DLC. Abe expanded that they took into consideration a lot of ideas for FF13, went with what they felt was perfect for the final product, and cut what didn't quite fit. There you have it -- though I wouldn't be surprised if the sixth remake of the game eight years from now has at least some of that unused content. [PlayStation.blog]

At the upcoming Game Developers Conference in San Francisco (March 9-13), David Coombes and Kirk Bender of Sony Computer Entertainment America are set to shed some light on the (as-of-yet unnamed) PlayStation 3 motion controller. A description of the session teases that the device "will allow developers to create new gameplay experiences, by allowing players to interact with their console in high definition using their bodies." In layman's terms: This controller will turn the PS3 into a high-powered Wii with better graphics. [Gamasutra via CMPevents]

I can see many people breaking their iPhones over playing that game :P.And I always thought of Ryo as the guy who was searching for sailors xD.

Interesting, Street Fighter IV for iPhone but NOT for PSP or DS...decisions decisions Capcom, you're not making any that make me happy these days. Why release this when you could be EASILY making boatloads doing a version for the DS, especially in Japan. The controller layout looks terrible and I can only imagine playing this game in real life would be an exercise in futility.
