Pixel RevoltWith Jeff Grubb celebrating the holidays in Europe, we've got a ringer to take his place in the form of Bitmob's Aaron Thomas, along with community member Jon Cole. Topics discussed include favorite games, holiday limericks, marathon gaming, and who could possibly want to be a hero. Also, your new year's gaming resolutions!

Pixel Revolt is Bitmob's community-driven podcast, in which Derek Lavigne, Jeff Grubb (usually), Brett Bates, and a special guest dive into the Mobfeed to discuss interesting posts written by Bitmob members. For the second half of the show, they throw a question out to the community so that you can have your voice heard. If you'd like to contribute your opinion to the show, follow the upload instructions after the break.

I don't think I've ever been called a "ringer" before. Thanks!

Quality episode as usual, guys. I enjoyed listening to all of the New Year's resolutions, and can relate to many of them.

In relation to the first topic, about devising "favourite" lists versus "best" lists, I can't see the difference between the two. I would think that, logically, a person favors that which has the best quality. Your favourite food isn't one that tastes bad or one you don't like eating; it's the one you want to eat the most. There's no difference between favourite and best, since people naturally favor things with high quality.

Then where is the space for "guilty pleasures", Spencer? 50 Cent Blood on the Sand would probably land in my top 20 games of 2009 because I enjoyed it quite a bit, but it wouldn't consequentially land in my best 20 games of 2009 because a lot of the pleasure I derive from it is from what I consider a highly unusual sense of humor.

@Spencer I think you used a word in your statement that perfectly explains why "Favorite" and "best" aren't always the same, and that's logically. You see the thing is, people aren't logical now are they? 8)

This vacation has been pretty good to me, I've beaten 3 games since the semester ended. Finally working on beating Dark Cloud now. Well on my way to reaching my bench mark.
