Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PC) -- design of the decade
By Tristan Damen
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of my favorite games from this year. Tristan seems to be equally impressed even if a few minor faults do creep up every now and then. Oh, and the bosses are also really annoying. God, I hate those bosses.
The Sims Social is too streamlined for its own good
By Justin Hemenway
I don't like The Sims very much, and I'm still not entirely on board with the whole "social gaming" thing. Needless to say, The Sims Social isn't exactly a marriage made in Heaven for me. Justin is more hung up on what was lost in translating the original Sims formula to the Facebook experience.
The letter "F" six times
By Eric Koziol
This is a review about VVVVVV. I don't know how people pronounce that game. I just call it "that game with spikes" or "that game with all the vees." Of course, I'm not the first to be puzzled by this issue. Actually, this piece is really more about Eric's frustrations with Steam than it is a review about VVVVVV. Oh well. I'll put whatever the hell I want on here.
Late Third Strike Online review
By Siri Karri
That would be Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online, recently released for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. I know some people have no idea why anyone would want Third Strike when they can get Super Street Fighter 4, but as Siri points out in his review, Third Strike is a more technical and complicated game.
Review: BloodRayne Betrayal
By Louis Garcia
I have a passing interest in BloodRayne Betrayal if only because of the game's stunning graphics. Louis says this 2D revival is a fun throwback even if it offers few new ideas. I'm not sure if I'm swayed to purchase this title, but I may check out the demo. Maybe I'll just watch the Uwe Boll movie instead.
