Mega Man tribute bands? A Kojimian Rhapsody? It must be time for another Spotlight on the Bitmob community!

This edition of the Spotlight is certainly eclectic. Justin Fassino and Matthew Floratos each have music-related pieces; Justin's has an interview with The Megas (wonder where they got that name from!), while Matthew writes an ode to the folks who are still upset about Metal Gear Solid 4.

Gamers usually get an earful from people who try to dissuade us from our hobby -- Brian Shirk fires back. Richard Eisenbeis reports on the games of the Tokyo Game Show. And Rob Savillo continues to preach the wonders of Demon's Souls.

Rocking Out in the Year 20XX
By Justin Fassino
The Megas aren't your usual video game-themed band. They are a Mega Man tribute band that moves beyond chiptunes to re-record Mega Man themes with a heavy guitar-ballad feel. Justin has kindly shared his interview with The Megas with us.

The Kojimian Rhapsody
By Matthew Floratos
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots definitely divided parts of the Metal Gear fanbase, and a number of fans remain angry. Matthew knows this, and he decided to take it a step further. In the tradition of rewriting the lyrics to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" to make a humorous point, Matthew gives us the Kojimian Rhapsody, a song for all the people who are still staunchly opposed to MGS4.

Giving Up Games: A Mission in Futility
By Brian Shirk
Video games rot your brain, make you a nerd, and distract you from relationships. People argue these points all the time. But are these true? Brian has had his fair share of ups and downs when it comes to gaming, and he offers his arguments against people wanting to discourage gamers from gaming.

Tokyo Game Show 2009 Hands-On
By Richard Eisenbeis
Richard takes us on a tour of some of the games of the Tokyo Game Show. The journey starts with Quantum Theory, moseys over to PixelJunk Shooter, visits Heavy Rain, drops in on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and wraps up with Final Fantasy 13.

Combat in Demon's Souls
By Rob Savillo

Rob's an evangelist for Demon's Souls (much in the way that Jason Wilson preaches the glories of properly fried chicken). He tells us why he thinks it's much more satisfying than many hack-n-slash games. Has he convinced you yet to give it a try?
