The bravest (and luckiest) StarCraft 2 player

I'm terrible at StarCraft 2. I don't know a barracks from a hatchery, and my opponent usually rushes my base with an army the size of a small country before I can even build my first soldier. Well, maybe I should take some notes from the player in this video. He was ballsy enough to build his base right next to his opponent's. The result? Victory in less than five minutes.

Looks like the guy got incredibly lucky there. I've avoided buying Starcraft 2 because of the lack of LAN, and Diablo 3 in protest of the always online requirement myself. I just can't fund such anti-consumer business practices. So Blizzard has lost all of my business as of late. Taking LAN out of a game like Starcraft is the biggest slap in the face to fans I can honestly think of....That is, until they announced the online only requirement for Diablo 3, which is a slap in the face and a kick in the balls.

It makes me angry how downright selfish Blizzard has become. It is all about them, and they offer fans none of the expected perks almost every other game of that type would offer. And they do it because they know they can. Watching them trash their almost perfect reputation in just a few short years has been eye opening. They used to be beloved, like Valve, and they ruined it because of greed.

Sure, they have a right to make money. Sure, DRM is one way to do that. However, it isn't the only way, and they know that. There are plenty of ways for them to keep their games secure without fucking the fans over. They chose not to go that route, and instead decided to stab fans in the back. I mean, come on, forcing people to stay online for a mostly single player game? If that isn't a massive FUCK YOU to fans, I don't know what is. Blizzard is just another developer on my "Don't Buy From" list.

I forgave them for the LAN thing, but not the online requirement in Diablo 3. That was the line, and they pole vaulted over it. When I used to hear people tale about Blizzard, it was always positive. People loved them. Now, after more than a few missteps from them, the positive tale went away. People see them in the same way they see Activision or EA.

For Blizzard to fuck up that badly is one for the record books.
