The road to Black Friday: Amazon's buy one get one 50 percent off sale

Modern Warfare 3Black Friday might as well become Black November at this point, as retailers all over the country are continually extending their sale and even starting a week in advance of Thanksgiving. 

Amazon, for one, is running a deal counting down to what I assume will be a completely insane sale on November 25. Right now you can buy one new-release game for full price and get another from their list 50 percent off. 

"But not every new-release is something I want to play, Jasmine! What's good?"

Well, if you buy Modern Warfare 3 right now you could get Skyrim at half price. Batman Arkham City, Uncharted 3, and Rage are also included in the sale. Those are all the games worth playing!

The sale continues for as long as Amazon has available product, so if you want to snag a crazy deal on an otherwise prohibitively expensive title, now is a good time to splurge.  You can find the game list here.

It's sad because I wanted to like it but it just didn't deliver. Gunplay felt great, plot was translucent, mini games were merely diversionary to the thin plot and the ending was downright insulting. I expected much more based on all of the hype. The style was interesting and the game looked good but it wasn't enough for me.

This deal is actually a price match with Kmart. Kamart is running the exact same deals this week, but there's one place where Amazon is still more worthwhile:

If you're specifically trying to get the PC versions of RAGE and Skyrim, which are only sold on consoles at Kmart, you should go with the Amazon deal. Skyrim will still be full price, but that game doesn't have any Black Friday deals upcoming, on any platform. RAGE will be half-off at some places on Black Friday, but nobody knows if those prices count for the PC version (they probably don't), and Amazon is already selling RAGE at a small discount, so the deal will cut it even lower on Amazon.
