Those remixes are banana!

After two and a half year, the OverClocked Remix organization finally was able to release their all new baby; Serious Monkey Business. Starting with the already pretty awesome music of Donkey Kong Country 2, they made some even cooler remixes that will bring you back to the twisty passages of Krocodile Island. David Wise, the man behind the actual game's soundtrack, is even involved.

Going from techno to rock ballad while passing through j-pop and something that strangely sounds like it could have been made by Peter Gabriel, there is something for everyone amongst those 30+ tracks and, as the album's official website says: "this album offers something for the listener & perhaps in a genre the listener may not normally enthused to listen to".

I was never a big fan of remixes but I must say that the pure nostalgia of hearing some of my favorite music from the game (like the chase scene in Run, Rambi! Run!) remade with a little rock twist really sold this album to me and even made me check out some of their other materials.

How much is this? Free! So go crazy like monkeys and get your paws on this right now either through their website, so you can walk around with some sweet tunes, or you can listen to them on Youtube, if you roll like that. I'll now leave you with a little teaser for the album.
