Video Blips: Catherine, Lost in Shadow, Homefront, and more

You know when you play a particular video game so much that you have a weird dream about it? I suspect that the guys behind Catherine are doing it the other way around.

Video Blips:

• Let's go down the list of what we know is in Catherine so far. Sexually suggestive situations? Check. Excessive gore? Check. Bizarre sheep themes? Check. Puzzle-platform levels? Well, I can't say I saw that one coming.

Continue after the break for the Lost in Shadow launch trailer, the latest Homefront developer diary, and the trailer for the DSiWare beat-making software Music On: Drums.

• You think your life is bad? Try being the protagonist from Lost in Shadow, a boy's shadow who needs to reunite with his lifeless, endangered body. At least you exist in physical space!

• In this Homefront developer diary, Kaos Studios staff talk about the importance of having real-life brands in the game world for authenticity. Or maybe it's for the extra cash to help cover development costs. Either/or.

• With Music On: Drums, you can make your own beats using the Nintendo DSi. All you'll need to be the next Kanye West is an out-of-control ego and a truckload of talent. Oh, being friends with Jay-Z might help, too.

I had a feeling that Catherine would be a wierd game, just not sheep nightmarish wierd. I will probably try it out for kicks though. Does any one know when it is coming to the United States?

To me -- a young, male, Welsh, fan of puzzle-platformers -- Catherine sounds enticing.

There is nothing bizarre about those sheep themes.

@Rakim, I'm not sure when (or even if) Atlus plans to bring Catherine out to the U.S., but I'm curious to check it out, too.

@Jeff, I guess they sheep themes are pretty standard, huh?

@Alejandro Then I am going to purchase my first Japanese import. I have wanted to play something a bit different for some time now.
