You'd think that if the soldiers in Killzone 3's universe kept getting their their throats slashed, the military would develop special knife-resistant throat armor, right?

Video Blips:

• The best thing about a game like Killzone 3 is it lets players do things they normally couldn't do in real life. Things like sliding on your rear for several feet across concrete. The laws of physics say no, but Killzone 3 says you're safe.

Continue after the break for some MLB 2K11 trash talk from San Francisco Giants pitcher Brian Wilson, a revealing peek at Mortal Kombat's X-ray mode, a teaser for Anarchy Reigns, and a look at the first level of the bizarre Catherine.

• Do you have what it takes to pitch a perfect game in MLB 2K11 and win $1 million? Better yet, do you have the balls to rock a giant, early-'90s cell phone like S.F. Giants pitcher Brian WIlson does in this video?

• Mortal Kombat's X-ray mode -- which shows off the internal damage the fighters inflict upon each other -- adds a bizarre sense of realism to the game. I hear that the guys behind the NBA 2K series are considering using the technique for when players bust their ankles. [via IGN]

• I went to college with a bunch of self-proclaimed anarchists, but they were nothing like the characters in this Anarchy Reigns teaser. Instead of wielding swords, chainsaws, and minotaur armor, they were more into cussing out the police and breaking store windows.

• The hero from Catherine has some messed-up dreams that involve climbing a bunch of platforms while a hungry giant tries to stab him with a fork. I wonder what the dream dictionary would say about this. It's probably just stress. [via GameTrailers]

In case people missed it, iWaggle3D demoed how the Move controller works with Killzone 3 (video here) a few weeks ago. I'm really interested to try that out.
