A number of people didn't enjoy the gameplay that developer Double Fine put into Brütal Legend. So how did they react? By making an entire game based around it, of course! Trenched puts you in the center of tower-defense action as a manly, mech-driving member of the “Mobile Trench Brigade.” Ah, masculinity and motor oil -- my two favorite smells.

• Double Fine’s trademark aesthetics and tongue-in-cheek humor are quite apparent when looking at Trenched. One can only imagine what kind of hilarity will be in a game about mechs set after World War 1. For a taste of what’s to come, check out these manly magazines of manstastic magnitude.

• Dirt 3 is now on store shelves, so get your hands on a copy if you’ve got a lead foot and outstanding speeding tickets to back it up. I’ve never been the biggest fan of racing games -- they just don’t exhilarate me. I’m also a ridiculously defensive driver, which is the racing equivalent of a dwarf wrestler.

• If you’re a fan of Defense of the Ancients, then you may want to keep tabs on Realm of the Titans. The voice in this video doesn’t exactly sell the Abraxas hero very well. With a word like “titan” in your game’s title, you need a beefy dude to narrate this stuff! Try Michael Clarke Duncan; he doesn’t seem to be doing much these days.

• Dracula’s castle is being overrun by more jerks who want his head, so it’s your job to protect it with a slew of minions. Why does anyone feel inclined to pick on poor Dracula? I mean, sure, he does seduce people to their untimely deaths, and he is basically the ultimate embodiment of evil and torment, but still. The man has a cape and a cool accent!
