Were you lucky enough to miss the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards? In case you were, here's a recap of the most memorable parts of the night (i.e., the new trailers).
Video Blips:
• With this video, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception officially calls dibs on a November 11, 2011 (11/1/11) release date. Retailers who break street dates take heed: October 31, 2011 (10/31/11) just doesn't have the same ring to it.
After the break, we have debut trailers for Batman: Arkham City and Mass Effect 3, along with Kratos' (God of War) entrance into the latest Mortal Kombat game.
• Meet Professor Hugo Strange, a psychotic man who possesses an unhealthy obsession with Batman. He gets the majority of his information and gossip on The Caped Crusader from -- you guessed it -- TMZ.
• Bioware plans to launch Mass Effect 3 in the holiday season of 2011. That gives you about a year to finally finish up Mass Effect 1 and 2, which -- let's be honest -- you probably won't get around to in time. [GameTrailers]
• So Kratos, the God of War, walks into a bar and meets the cast of Mortal Kombat. In his raspiest voice, he says to them, "Hey, do you buff guys like to brutalize and dismember people, too? We should totally party!" And the rest is history. [GameTrailers]
