With so many things going on this week in the world it’s easy to get overwhelmed and confused. Relax, sit back, take off your shoes, and enjoy these delicious gaming tidbits. But please, leave the socks on.

Gears 3 on Fallon

For the second year in a row, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has dedicated a whole week to video games. Here we see Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski showing off the E3 demo of Gears of War 3. Jimmy was having a tough time beating a giant fish boss, and Cliffy didn’t do much better. Watch it here.

Duke Nukem Forever is a goddam mess. As expected, it has received mediocre scores from reviewers, going as low as 49 on Metacritic. Jim Redner, of public relations firm The Redner Group, posted an embarrassing tweet where he warns reviewers that went “too far” about not sending them their games in the future. He later apologized, but like shit smeared on a wall, the stench isn’t coming off any time soon.

Lulz Security, the computer hackers responsible for compromising over a million PSN accounts as well as hacking the CIA website and PBS, are at it again! They have now taken down servers for Minecraft, EVE Online, and League of Legends, and also released over 60,000 passwords to the public from MediaFire users, the image hosting site. So, y’all need to hide your Internets, cuz they’re hackin’ everybody out here!

When you think of Mass Effect’s Commander Shepard, is it the Mr. or Miss Shep? Fans of female Shepard, or “FemShep”, have reasons to celebrate because not only will she star in an upcoming Mass Effect 3 trailer, she’ll also grace the cover of the collector’s edition.

Before Hollywood inevitably brings Call of Duty to the big screen, you’ll get to see Robert Kotick in an upcoming Brad Pitt film called Moneyball. I’m serious! Did I mention it’s a baseball drama? Activision’s president will play a stingy Oakland Athletics executive that doesn’t want to cough up money to get better players. That’s like having Warwick Davis playing a midget.

It's pretty cool that Bioware is finally bringing more focus to FemShep.

I’ve always played as male Shepard, but after hearing how much people love FemShep I’m considering a playthrough with her on Mass Effect 3.
