The '90s were the grand age of adventure games, and spawned quite a few unusual ones, like 9: The Last Resort. 9 is a disjointed and beautiful PC game where the player inherits a creepy hotel. What makes the game interesting is that keeping track of physical items included with the game was absolutely essential.
Certain events require you to reference the letter and the will you receive after your uncle's death. I lost the lawyer letter soon after I got my copy and was never able to actually finish it. Damn you, archaic tools!
