Reminder: Bitmob Game Night -- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Editor's note: Bitmob gathers on Xbox Live to blast each other in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. PT (8:30 p.m. ET). If you participate, write a recap! -Jason

Many of you are no doubt enmeshed in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer mode. But are you good enough to take on the Bitmob crew?

We'll find out Friday night, as Bitmob Game Night plans to feature Modern Warfare 2. Although it's time for us to play a PC game in our rotation of Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, we decided that since so many of you are jazzed about the game (and the same applies to Bitmob editors), it would be a good idea to return to the XB360 a little early.

Bitmob Game Night begins at 5:30 p.m. PT (8:30 p.m. ET) on Friday, November 20. Bitmob cofounder and editor Dan "Shoe" Hsu is set to host the game, and editor Brett Bates plans on hosting any overflow.

I'm half tempted to host a COD4 PC, rebel-boycott Bitmob Game Night, but I'm too lazy to find or setup a server for that. I will lazyweb it and say that if someone does decide to, I'll be ready and willing to join up.

@Rondrae We're skipping it on PC because more staffers have it on console, and we believe that the community would love to play it together now. I'm hoping for Borderlands for PC for the next Game Night.

Ooooooo, I hope I can play! Just finished the campaign last night, only three stages left in Spec Ops to do. Hopefully I can start practicing in multiplayer by tomorrow or Wednesday. Would this be terribly difficult to pick up if I haven't played CoD4 online in over 18 months? I hope not.

I'm curious about something. I added my GT to that list but not sure how this will be organized. Could we be getting friend invites or just game invites? If it's after 530 and I still have no invite to anything should I consider that a sign to pack it in and not expect to play that night?

I'd love to play a few rounds, but is there a certain level we should be at in order to play? Just wondering since some game modes are locked.

@Tom and everyone: Easiest way to get in on the action is to send a friend request to me (b bretterson) or Shoe (bitmob shoe). That way we can easily invite you to the party when it's set up.

I have to dump my current friends list tonight to make room. Find me at "Bitmob Shoe" on XBL.

@Shoe I used the xbox live website to send you a friend request, about to do the same for Brett. No idea if it worked though. The link just said "Send friend request" and the page I got after didn't really say "request sent". I don't wanna miss out! How long will this be going for?

Dropped friend requests on both Brett and Shoe, hopefully this works out well.

So far, so awesome. Rich's connection doesn't seem too friendly but we're working around it.
