We know some language-loving fanboys will be sad about the Final Fantasy XIII news below, but it's nothing to cry about. In fact, it's something to laugh about.

News Blips:

• 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII too stupid to learn Japanese. Or, we should say, not intellectually capable enough, as Square Enix has confirmed that it's not possible to include multiple languages of its upcoming role-playing game because of the space limitations of the 360's DVD disc. PS3 users, however, will get to listen to characters yap it up in both languages due to the bloated belly of Blu-ray. Personally, we're waiting for the PS4 version so we can cast Knights of the Round in Klingon. [Kotaku]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 cover story makes trees cry. The new issue of Game Informer has a big feature on the new Call of Duty game for those who still enjoy reading words on paper. Craziest piece of info? You shoot things. Mind = blown! [Joystiq]

Jerry Bruckheimer knows nothing about games, so hires people who do. The man responsible for Pirates of Caribbean hired former Microsoft and Ubisoft executives to help him create games for the production company he announced way back in 2007. Jake Gyllenhaal has also been hired to exclusively walk around the office with his shirt off for some odd reason. [Joystiq]

Tough decision: Buy a real guitar or buy a fake one for the same amount of money. Peripheral-maker Logitech revealed a $200 Rock Band/Guitar Hero guitar for those who want to rock out like an idiot in style. To anyone who buys this, South Park has a message for you. [Kotaku]

Rock Band bass made for insect rock stars. That $200 Logitech waste of money guitar not nostalgic enough for you? Well, you can always buy the Paul McCartney replica bass that comes with the special bundle of The Beatles: Rock Band. Or you can buy both and show our recession rock 'n' roll never dies...only bank accounts. [Kotaku]

Hit the jump for some video blips, including a World of WarCraft pet, Spore on the Wii, Street Fighter Mighty Muggs, and...more.

Video Blips:

Spore Hero is like Guitar Hero without the guitars. The Wii version of Spore focuses more on combat, which basically says all Wii owners are devoid of logic and reason. Makes sense.

World of WarCraft adopts StarCraft pet while reading H.P. Lovecraft. Just kidding about the last part, WoW would totally be reading this book. But WoW really did adopt a StarCraft pet -- Grunty the Murloc Marine will be given out at this year's BlizzCon. Hopefully he's better behaved than this pet.

Early Prince of Persia footage lacks pretty colors, Jake Gyllenhaal. Here's the target render for Prince of Persia game that came out last year. This video made fellow Bitmobber Brett Bates's day.

Cultural Blip:

• These Street Fighter 'Muggs look Mighty. A talented customizer whipped up these Street Fighter-inspired versions of Hasbro's amazing Mighty Muggs line. Gotta punch 'em all! [Kotaku]

Woohaw! Thanks for posting the Prince of Persia video. My day has, in fact, been made. Also: Holy crap, that's a lot more intense than what ended up on store shelves. Kinda wish they had skewed just a tad bit more in that direction for the finished product...

This is just the first of many things to be sacrificed, in order to bring FFXIII to the Xbox. :(

Disappointing news about Final Fantasy XIII, why not just add another DVD to spread the game across? Lost Odyssey had 5 different language options and was on 4 discs. Hopefully S-E will put together a good cast though. Look forward to the game's release.

I guess it's yet to be seen if FFXIII not having Japanese speech will be an issue. It all depends on just how bad the English sounds. Sometimes it's bearable, and sometimes it's like Spirited Away. Absolutely painful. For some reason, I don't mind Japanese games dubbed to English as much as I do with films. Sadly, this is probably because gaming narrative doesn't live up to film most of the time.

Well, by the time FF13 comes out in the states (late 2010/early 2011) the ps3 should be cheap enough so those who care that much about keeping the Japanese VO intact can get it for that system. I'm with JH, I don't mind games with english dubs. English dubs in film is a different story entirely, case in point: JCVD, which is awesome in it's natural language, horrible with english dubs.

I don't understand how people think COD 4/mw's mp was great... it was by far one of the worst experiences ever. With a FFA map if you knew the spawn locations and the server was hosting more than 30 players then you could get a gun, aim at the spawn point shoot and rack up your kills, I hope in MW 2 they really think about their spawning system because it really is a piece of work, and I mean absolute garbage, fix mp and i'll think about picking up cod again for more than just the 3hrs it takes me to beat the sp. Really I have to say that COD 2 did multiplayer way better than 4 and I really hope they look at games that have managable respawns like bf2/bf2120, tf2, dods, and list goes on.
