Today we tackle a topic that not many want to talk about.  Really most people avoid this question like the plague.  yes it is that bad of a topic, but for me I have to ask the questions to see what people think.

Over the years we have seen countless 2K Sports and EA Sports games comes out.  How ever I have yet to see a WNBA or Womens College basketball game.  Then again I see softball on ESPN all the time, but yet nothing for a video game.
Really I mean in the olympic games for the consoles they have women.  So why can't someone take the rights and make them a deal?  Just seems un fair to me for it to be this way.  How ever maybe I am over looking things which might be just stupid in it self.

Maybe 2K Sports and EA can't make women figures properly cause they like making guy figures all day long.  If it involves making a loss in money has any one tried to find out?  Knowing my about to 5 year old daughter loves to be the lady character.  This would get her to play sports games and look up to the women of the WNBA or even get her to try it.
As a gamer to two girls I know the older one would enjoy a game like this.  As for my younger one I know she would enjoy this when she gets a little older.   So what do you all think about women sports games?  Would you buy them and not just to be perverted either?

No, I personally wouldn't, but only because I don't really care for any sports games.

I do remember a volleyball game for PS1 that featured women...and they also have the tennis games.

I think the sad, harsh economic reality of the situation is that video games of women's sports have the potential to be about as profitable as the sports themselves which, is to say, not at all.

How about some Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2, Toby? ;)

Interesting topic Toby. I think it'd be difficult for a company like EA to release such a title, because the market for it just isn't very big. If there were more females purchasing consoles (that also liked sports), they'd have a better chance of succeeding.
