Another fine month is in the rearview mirror, and that means it's time to take a look at Bitmob's 10 most-read community stories for the month of March. This time around we've got multiple open letters, several authors named Michael, and of course, a few "Top X" lists.

10) An Open Letter to Bad Company 2 Snipers -- Gabriel Shelnutt

9) An Open Letter to Gearbox Software, Re: Borderlands DLC --        Michael Rousseau

8) Gamer Pride: Dos and Don'ts -- Michael Rousseau

7) In Defense of Final Fantasy 13 -- Michael Edwards

6) Let's Review Something Without Playing it -- Chris Charlton

Did you make the top five? Hit the jump to find out!

5) Five Films that Deserve Game Tie-Ins (but will never get them) -- Jon Porter

4) Ubisoft's and EA's Extreme DRM Will Kill PC Gaming -- Aaron Betts

3) Dressing Down Heavy Rain's Madison Paige -- Rachel Jagielski

2) The Games That Define You -- Matt Davis

1) Five Screw-Ups Worse Than the ApocalyPS3 -- Alex Martin

Kudos to everyone who made the list! If you didn’t make the list and you’re wondering how you can draw more eyes to your work, here are three tips that should help:

Format your articles: (small paragraphs and pictures go a long way)

Encourage comments: (ask your readers to share their opinions)

Promote your work: (share your links via Twitter, Facebook, message boards, N4G.com, Digg, Reddit, and Buzz)

I promise you I started writing my latest list before I saw this.

My #9 status isn't legit. I accidentally "reposted" that one, which may have put it into March instead of whenever I originally wrote it in February, as seen in the comments. Right now, if an article is "unpublished" (big red X) in your profile, you can republish it immediately and have it on the current date with all of the views and comments. That's the one I discovered this problem on, and I left a comment in the thread appologizing for that.

I just wanted to let you guys know. I'll take the #8, but that #9 spot isn't a legit view record. Thanks.

You have to wonder if these monthly top ten round-ups end up actually being the most viewed articles of the month...

It was an error on my part that accidentally reposted my article in March, when it was written in February. Not anyone's fault but mine that it got up there, and I feel terrible, because I just bumped someone off of the list because I clicked the wrong button.

I just saw this and I also think my spot on the list must be a mistake, as I accidently reposted my article earlier when fiddling with the new design.  I originally wrote that article last June.  My apologies.

Congrats everyone! In the grand scheme of things it may not mean much, but seeing the hits roll in is a good feeling.

Also, it's looking less listy. Well done!

And did you know we already have not one, but two(!) early contenders for this months list through our community callout about controllers? In fact, I will guarantee that one of those will make it! The other has a very good shot.

HINT HINT

(I'd post a link, but that would be rude to all of our big hit getters featured in this post).

Thanks for the honesty, guys -- I know you didn't do this just to get hits. It's all good.

Hopefully it's just because of the new site launching and not something I'll need to follow-up on every month. That could get time consuming.
