Earlier this week a petition was started to bring Dark Souls over to the PC platform, as of writing this the petition currently has over 70,000 signatures. This all started when administer shoupinou suggested Dark Souls could make the leap to PC with a petition packing a few thousand signatures and PC gamers have responded.

However PC gamers aren't the only ones taking notice of this petition and its rapid growth through out the week. Tony shoupinou gave fans a heads up a heads up via Namco's forums that the heads over at Namco Bandai had been informed and were taking notice.

He wrote:

"I honestly wasn't expecting such a massive support. My boss(es) even came to talk to me about this, after it explodes all around the world. If you wanted to have the attention of Namco Bandai Games, now you have it.

The future is in your hands, and I hope you will keep supporting this. I make a personal objective to make sure every relevant people in Namco Bandai Games is in touch with this formidable effort.
Great Thanks"

While this isn't a confirmation that the project is moving forward this definitely gives gamers hope that this could very well happen and soon. Petitions are something that pops up quite frequently in the gaming world though rarely do they yield any results. This would be the first time I've seen such a thing happen and personally I applaud Namco Bandai for giving this their attention. Hopefully the numbers will continue to climb and in the coming weeks we'll hear something official. Until then help spread the word and let's see how many more signatures we can get.
