EDITOR'S NOTEfrom Brett Bates

Do you like funny things? This is your post. Evan's Passage "speed run" is the funniest thing I've seen all week.

Maybe you remember Passage, the indie game sensation from 2007 that provided a touching meditation on life, death, and marriage using limited graphics and five minutes of your time. But do you know Passage, the jaunty new dance craze? Or how about Passage, the totally epic speed run? No? Then check out those Passages and more in the videos I created below.

It took me a few minutes to "get" this game. I liked the motivational quotes in the speed run though.

These videos are amazing! (The first one is clearly the best.)

You made all of these didn't you? All of them only have, like, five views.

(Edit: I went in and fixed the centering on your videos. I also made them all a uniform size. They're great! Also, I just saw the Mobfeed description, so that answers my question.)

I like the second one -- it tickles my dancer sentimentalities.

I never thought to just leave the guy standing at the beginning. It's kinda deep, like he's just watching life pass him by -- always stuck in the same crappy place, never getting ahead.

Thanks a lot, James, I appreciate it! I didn't know how to fix the video window, and I wasn't even sure you could in the editor.

I would just like to reiterate how awesome that speed run is. Hilarious!

Imma about to base jump into a shitty Domino's pizza. Food success! I'm gettin' down with the sickeness!.

(P.S. I went back in time, and I ordered it through Everquest 2, which much like Passage, is an interactive metaphor for life.)

@Brett: Thanks! It's a much better way to start the day than a morning jog. I'm hoping someone investigates the somewhat obvious easter egg in it. Maybe I've said too much.

@James: That sounds reckless. I hope you have a cache of moist towelettes.

@Richard: Those steps need some work, which at the time I wasn't willing to rehearse. It's no Step Up 3D.

That speed run felt like a bizarro parody of every gaming video on Youtube. I don't know what's real anymore D:

I sent the article to Jason Rohrer. He suggested the "Hermit" video be turned into a perpetual art installation by way of weighted spacebar, creating a recursive death and resurrection cycle set in one spot. Very cool!
