According to Microsoft's recently revealed list of the most popular Xbox Live Arcade games, downloadable content, and such in Japan (via Famitsu), Bayonetta takes home the title for most downloaded demo of 2009. The sexy shooter is also now ranked the fourth downloaded XBL demo of all time, with the number-one spot going to Resident Evil 5. Gamers are eager to try out a game with a sexy, half-naked, gun-toting, demon-fighting woman, huh? That sounds about right. [gi.biz]

According to Nintendo Co., Ltd. President Satoru Iwata, the successor to the Nintendo DS will have "highly detailed graphics" and a sensor that can read movement. He did not offer other details, such as a release window for the console which is understandable considering the current popularity of the DS. Furthermore, Nintendo hopes to have the next The Legend of Zelda game for the Wii out by the end of 2010. Awesome. [Kotaku]

Sony is putting out a PS3 Michael Jackson "This Is It" bundle in Japan that is essentially just the basic console and a copy of the This Is It documentary on Blu-ray. The movie disc will have a special Michael Jackson-themed wallpaper, but they couldn't also throw in ports of Space Channel 5 and the Michael Jackson's Moonwalker video game? [1UP]

A 16-year-old Canadian youth briefly ran away from home to be with his self-proclaimed 42-year-old soul mate whom he met through -- surprise, surprise -- World of Warcraft. After a couple of days away from his parents, who are against the union, the boy is now back at home. The cougar, a mother of four, will not face criminal charges since Canada's age of consent is 16. Who needs online dating services when WOW can apparently unite soul mates? [Joystiq]

Any bets on whether "highly detailed graphics" means a processor that matches the PSP? I doubt Nintendo is going to put a lot of bank in the DS2's graphical ability; anything too fancy would jack up the handheld's pricepoint beyond the market they grasp so firmly right now.

@Spencer, more importantly, anything too powerful would kill the battery real quickly. I'm sure Nintendo is taking this into account. If we get a system with the DS battery life that can do PSP graphics, I'd call it a pretty sweet deal.
