Fun fact about Pirates of Silicon Valley -- the Steve Jobs/Bill Gates biopic -- Steve Ballmer is played by John Di Maggio. You may recognize him as the voice of Marcus Fenix from Gears of War, Bender from Futurama, and Jake the Dog from Adventure Time.

News Blips:

PlayStation Vita's games will be far too large to be download-only. That's right, PlayStation 3-quality games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss take up a lot of space. Sony has said that some Vita games will be as big as 4GB, which means that even the highest-capacity memory card announced for the system would have difficulty holding more than eight titles or so. I'm not too worried because do you know what this means? We live in a world without the threat of a PSP Vita Go. Sleep soundly tonight, friends! [Shacknews]

Rockstar says that Red Dead Redemption is not currently “viable” for the PC. “All we can say is that whenever it is viable (technically, developmentally, and business-wise) for us to release a game for PC (or any other particular platform) -- we will and we usually do,” Rockstar said on the company's blog. “Unfortunately, that is just not the case 100% percent of the time for all platforms.” I don't know...that sounds like some fancy talk from a yellow-bellied coward! Put on your spurs and saddle up. It's time to rustle up some Rockstar-hide. [Joystiq]

A port of the difficult platformer VVVVVV will bounce around the 3DS later this year. The indie game challenges players to switch gravity to overcome a standard lineup of two-dimensional obstacles. You have your spikes, your bottomless pits, and then your spike-lined bottomless pits. With pre-NES style graphics, it will be neat to see how the game looks with an extra dimension. VVVVVV will be available via the 3DS eShop at some point in 2011.

Mass Effect: Invasion – a comic-book tie-in for the popular video-game series – will get a special-edition version at the upcoming New York Comic Con. The book will star Aria T'loak -- an Asari mob-boss -- as she dukes it out with human-supremacist group Cerberus. Fans should be able to pick up a copy if they're attending the NYCC on October 13-16. Bioware will probably be selling them right behind the gal cosplaying as Slave Leia.
