Old Nintendo Media Kit for Sale

I spend an extraordinary amount of time on eBay. I could blame my collecting ways, but the truth is that I find auction sites hilarious. Nothing brings more joy to my day than scrolling through someone's desperate attempt at describing a product they know nothing about, or trying to make absolute crap into a goldmine.

And occasionally, I stumble upon truly unusual things, like this Nintendo media kit, from 1990.

Unsurprisingly, the current owner is asking an exorbitant fee for what amounts to an outdated collection of black-and-white screenshots with a bit of news thrown in. Would you pay $400 for a set of 20-year-old press releases?

You might if you were me (or a version of me with a fat stack of cash lying around). Learn from my mistakes, Bitmobbers. I am the sort of person that goes from talking about owning a crappy arcade cabinet to actually buying one.

Follow the auction here, if you dare.

That's a pretty sweet binder.

Cool little piece of history, right there. If I had the money I would definitely try to buy it.

Sad, but true story. My Dad owns a small custom order bindery, where I've worked my whole life, and the first thing I thought was, "Hey! That's a one and a half inche polyethelene binder! Does Nintendo still use binders, and can we get a piece of that business?"

So yeah if anyone needs a binder I can hook you up.
