These are great to watch while eating lunch.

My most frustrating moments in games have to be escort missions. One particular game that comes to mind is Psychonauts -- the stage where you have to protect child Oleander in the meat circus. The reason this one stands out is because Psychonauts would be a perfect game to me if this stupid mission didn't exist.

Escort missions are rarely fun because they rely on AI 100% of the time, and if the AI is shit then you can almost guarantee an escort mission with that same AI will make you want to kill a baby animal.

After about 3 hours of trying for the Mile High Club Achievement, I finally got to the slow motion/hostage part. I was so relieved... Until I shot the hostage instead of the terrorist. I felt like destroying something. I was done for the night. I managed to get it the next day after a handful of tries, though.

The most frustrating moments I have ever had was with The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. I love that game to no end... but the frustrating thing about that game, was that I would play for hours upon hours, only to find out that I had killed someone I needed to continue a quest line. God knows when the killing happened. Eventually, on new playthroughs, I had to carefully plan out the order which I completed quests before I even started playing.

... ... ... Maybe I'll install it this week.

Congrats on getting Mile High! I have officially given up on that. :)

Escort missions drive me mad.  It isn't so bad if I have a little bit of control over the AI character(s), via squad commands or gear management.  I can't stand it when I have to defend a weak character with no fight-or-flight response who runs into enemy attacks.

I also hate it when your character has a long recovery animation.  Alan Wake frustrated me a few times when I'm about to shoot a bad guy but someone threw something at me, causing Alan to wince and lower his weapon, subsequently getting his face smashed with a shovel.

I also can't stand getting "snagged" on the environment.  Any situation where I have to get somewhere in a hurry, but my character is incapable of stepping over a brick on the ground, drives me crazy.

Escort missions make me call my mom while crying and questioning the purpose of life.

It doesn't get worse than Dead Rising's escort missions. Makes me angry just thinking about them!

Snagging on the environment is a good one. The new Half-Minute Hero has that issue, and you only have 30 seconds to complete a mission! Grr.

Getting left behind by your co-op partner and killed in Contra's vertical-scrolling levels. Oh, and Battletoads.

Dead to Rights Retribution's heli mission was very aggravating but Castlevania Harmony of Despair made my blood boil.
