Puzzler: Match the game characters to their bosses

Today is Labor Day, and to celebrate I’ve come up with a Puzzler about hard-working game characters and their back-breaking supervisors. I give you the name of the boss along with images of four peons, and your “job” is to match the slaves to their owners. Now, quit slacking off and get busy!

Check out the answers on page two.

8/10, stupid mistake kept me from 9/10. You are one tricky bastard, especially with the fighting game lore.

Don't tell me I got you with the MK one...

Whoops, actually I got 9/10. I misread an answer. I got screwed up on the Boss one. Not used to thinking of Snake as a slave to anyone but Campbell. Different Snake!

8/10.  I too didn't think enough about the Snake one.

For a Puzzler about bosses it makes sense to have "The Boss" confuse you. Expect a memo on your desk tomorrow morning.

9/10. I got number 7 wrong. Demos aside, I really don't remember the last time I played an MK game.

As long as you don't get a perfect score I am happy.

6/10. Darn it, you really fooled me with the Metal Gear Solid 3 one. There were so many plot twists that kept me from figuring out the master and the peon.

I think everyone double-crossed everyone in MGS3. Naked Snake was the only noble soul in that game.

7/10. Though I do have to point out a minor mistake. Shredder is the boss of pre-fly Baxter Stockman. As a human baxter worked for Shredder, but was accidentally turned into a fly-man by Krang once Shredder had no more use for him. I do believe once he was a fly, he was 'his own boss'.

But I understood the intention.

Ah, you seem to be correct. Thanks for pointing this out. :)

Fly Baxter hated both the turtles and Shredder, but he wasn't smart enough to get his revenge on either. Krang and Shredder tricked fly Baxter into helping them all the time, promising to turn him back to his human self, but it was BS. Poor Baxter.

Is 10a Michael Jackson?

Actually, 10C is MJ as he looks today. Too soon?

Yay! 10/10, although I also didn't think that Baxter Stockman remained one of Shredder's minions. Also, how could you get the one with the Boss wrong if you finished MGS3? The ending?

You may be the first person to get a perfect score on one of my Puzzlers. This makes you my arch-rival.

The Boss one was supposed to be easy, but the MGS series does have insane plot twists.

Haha. No, I was thinking too much about the other members of Sokolov's band of merry men. I should have picked the obvious choice, instead of Ocelot.

By the way, Ocelot's cat call still creeps me out.

These are seriously the types of features I miss the most in print media.
