Tiger Woods' diminishing cover presence

Poor Tiger Woods. His well-publicized marital problems cost him many of his once-lucrative sponsorships, but at least they couldn't take EA Sport's Tiger Woods PGA Tour away from him...right? I mean, it is named after him. How can you keep a franchise going without its namesake? Well, judging from the yearly progression of the series' covers, it looks like you do it slowly. Just look at how hard it's getting to find Tiger in these covers.

OK, that last one obviously isn't real, but that seems to be where EA is eventually going.

If you look at the last cover closely you can see all the waitresses that Woods banged.

I actually stared at the last cover for a little while hoping you'd photoshopped Tiger into it somewhere. You didn't, did you?

Madden eventually got the boot from his covers too. Granted, he was probably just some old dude to most gamers and having his picture on the box likely didn't attract any additional sales. It's amusing looking back at all of the Madden covers and seeing how little variety there is. Madden mostly just repositioned his arms each year.
