Video Blips: Fez, Vanquish, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and More

Hell yeah, a new Fez gameplay video! I totally forgot about this little gem. What a way to start the week.

Video Blips:

• Fez puts a 3D spin on a 2D world. My biggest fear with this game: After extended play sessions, I might develop unrealistic expectations of the way depth works in reality.

Continue after the break for a look at Vanquish from game director Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil series), the latest lead-foot footage for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and the trailer for the bizarrely named Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.

• Vanquish pits soldiers in robotic suits against giant robot creatures. Just add a few flying cars and some explosions and you've got yourself a nice little video game.

• One of these days, I'd like to hear someone who leads police on a high-speed chase blame the fiasco on playing too much Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. In fact, why aren't legislators demonizing this game already?

• Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together looks like it has all the elements of a great strategy RPG. This includes all the players on the map continuously walking in place while awaiting their turns.

Fez looks cool, but all that spinning is making me sick to my stomach. Maybe it's just the Taco Bell, though.

Fez is the Duke Nukem Forever of the indie scene.

Fez look awesome and the spinning of the levels is a neat mechanic.

@Nick, it's the Taco Bell.

@Brett, I totally had a Duke Nukem: Forever joke for Fez in my first draft of the video blips.

(Watching Fez) Hold on, I'm sure that's not how the rotating camera thing is supposed to work...lmao.
