Video Blips: Halo: Reach and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Multiplayer, Metroid: Other M, Mega64, and More

May 3, 2010 looks like it's going to be a pretty important day for some people, and not just because it's World Press Freedom Day either.

Video Blips:

• According to this Halo : Reach trailer, the multiplayer beta is right around the corner. I doubt that ruining that mini surprise will do much to deter you from watching the video. [GameVideos]

• Where are the voices coming from in this Bad Company 2 multiplayer footage? Are they in-game, or are the Frame Rated guys just multilingual? [Frame Rated]

• Is this the trailer for Metroid: Other M, or some CGI drama movie? I thought that the Metroid series was about an intergalactic bounty hunter....

• I approve of Ubisoft's use of a time-lapse-drawing video of a sexy lady to promote Red Steel 2. The prospect of winning a copy, however, is not enough make me a fan of their Facebook page. [GameVideos]

Bonus Blip: Apparently the Mega64 guys aren't fans of Sonic Drive-In. But something tells me they're talking about more than just the food. [Mega64]

Wow, Reach looks like it's going to be a lot more intense and faster-paced. I like what I'm seeing.

What the hell is up with that Metroid trailer? Is that really what Metroid fans want to see? I don't. Show me how the combat works, switching between first- and third-person; I'm interested in that.

@Bryan, serious. That trailer wasn't quite what I was hoping for. I personally liked how Super Metroid let you figure the story out for yourself if you wanted to, or you could just ignore it and play the game.
