NBA Jam creator Mark Turmell is leaving EA to join Zynga, developer of social network games like FarmVille and Mafia Wars.

 


Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is publishing a game based on the upcoming Bollywood movie RA.One. That’s cool, but I’d rather see a movie based on Hindu legend Dhalsim.



THQ CEO Brian Farrell believes Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo will face new competition in the next hardware generation in the form of Google and Apple.



Research firm NPD Group reported that US consumers spent almost $6 billion on video games in the first quarter of 2011. In your face, recession!



Hollywood producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers) and Gigi Pritzker (Drive) have acquired the rights to adapt Taito’s Space Invaders to the big screen. Does this game even have a plot?

Yes, Space Invaders has a plot! It's about evil aliens who seek to, "Increase speed, drop down, and reverse direction!"
