Video Blips: Rainbow Six: Patriots, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Freakyforms, and more

As if the "No Russian" mission in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 wasn't bad enough. Did someone at Ubisoft think to themselves, "Yeah, we could do worse," for Rainbow Six: Patriots?

I'm generally against game trailers that only show what the developers want the game to look like (Killzone 2, anyone?). However, I'll let Ubisoft slide for Rainbox Six: Patriots, because I can definitely see this running on a modern PC and the next generation of consoles. Oh, and it looks amazing.

Continue past the break to see all the high-definition goodness of the Devil May Cry HD Collection, the upcoming Freakyforms for the 3DS, and meet the characters in the new survival horror AMY.

This trailer for the Devil May Cry HD Collection reminded me of just how ridiculous this series is. I mean, really -- how is he not getting hit when being shot by two pistols at near point-blank range?

Another 3DS game that I haven't heard of until now: Freakyforms looks like an interesting combination of LittleBigPlanet and Scribblenauts. Hopefully it manages to play half as well as it looks like it should.

AMY shows yet again that downloadable titles can have both interesting gameplay concepts and high production value. If the full game has some real scares, this looks like it should do well.

Chronologically, the series goes 3,1,4,2. Fittingly, that's my order of preference for the games as well. That's probably the order I'll replay them in when I get the HD collection.

Dante's Awakening was awesome. Part 2 was such a letdown that I didn't think the DMC series could recover. Part 4 was just OK. I still have the PS2 games, but I wouldn't mind playing them in HD.

I still have my PS2 copies as well. I suffered through vanilla DMC3 long before the special edition fixed things. It's one of my few challenging gaming accomplishments. The first DMC was the second game I got for my PS2, back in the day. I was having a good time until Phantom. That game really showed me how soft I had gotten on modern games.

That Rainbow Six video is crazy! Funny that they're releasing this now. What new shooter might they possibly be attempting to steal some thunder away from? Hmm...
