Greetings friend, you may or may not know me as Jackson W. Ryan (community writer). If you didn't... you do now! I am going to be here every fortnight with an article about science and video games. From evolution to psychology to analysis of cephalopod ink, I will be bringing it all back to the world we know and love: the world of video games.
Part 4 of my narrative through Shadow of the Colossus. In this entry, we see Wanda travel and defeat the fifth and sixth colossi of the game, one a beast of the sky and the other an underground sage.
The Arab Spring and Occupy protests used social media effectively - to organize, define and clearly convey their message. They promoted civil resistance and peaceful protest. The same is now being done with Mass Effect 3 and the "Retake" campaign and the results are strikingly similar.
Part three of my ongoing narrative about my journey through Shadow of the Colossus HD, where I write from the perspective of the lonely vagabond, Wanda.
Shadow of the Colossus is a critically acclaimed and widely praised video game released by Team Ico in 2005. It was re-released as a high definition remaster in 2011 for the Playstation 3. The game tells the story of a young man named Wanda and his quest to bring a young girl back to life. What follows is part 2 of my journey as Wanda.

Not another boring "video games are art" discussion, oh no. A discussion about how art direction in video games opens the mind, and the potential pitfalls of the movement towards better graphics and more realistic environments.

"I don't really get in to these games either. I have never been able to.

However, all my friends are currently playing and I feel ever so alone."

"This is a great response.

I have never been to the events but live sport (and thats what this is, really) is always a great spectacle. Unfortunately, MLG events arent that readily accessible - at least to me there's never been one in my city, hell I dont even know if there has been one in Australia. Therefore watching live streams is all I have and currently I think that that facet of MLG isn't great. I cant pinpoint why right now, but I am going to have a think about it."

"I have always thought that there needs to be more WWE like pomp in the MLG to make it interesting. Yes, it makes everyone more competitive, but what I truly care about is making it watchable. Making video games watchable even if you arent good at them yourself. I watch basketball religiously and its constantly exciting. To me, video game competition isn't all that enthralling sometimes. I want to see the big guys of each game have their own entrance music, ridiculous costumes and over the top commentary. If MLG wants to expand gaming culture it needs to embrace the every man because currently the only people that watch MLG are already gamers, where as you can find any amount of part-time supporters of basketball at a basketball game."

"I think the problem with username's is that they are subjective so having a set of rules is only to please yourself. These are rules you've written so other people's usernames don't suck to you. That point is best proved by your own XBL username - which to me seems like a mispelling of the zombie, a not at all unique concept and caused you to tell me I have missed the point of it. That's fine, but maybe you have missed the point of some usernames that don't abide by your rules too.

Username selection is different for every person, so while I also believe SilentAssassin69 is pretty bland and I personally wouldnt like it, the person that has it either a) is 12 or b) it means something to.

Usernames may 'suck' to you if they don't follow these rules, but to the person who chose it might mean something much more important. As such, I think this sort of segregates the gaming community - saying a username sucks will probably result in unnecessary prejudice towards that person. At least, that's my experience on multiplayer games. There should be no rules to naming yourself online, just do whatever you wanna do."

"First article on Bitmob, congrats!

However these are a pretty general set of rules I would think.

Also, your XBL username is Nate DaZombie.

It goes against rule 4 "spell correctly" and rule 2 "pick something unique" - I've seen a ton of zombie names. Also, you say in rule 2 that "Chances are, if it’s taken, then it’s not as unique as you thought it was". It doesn't need the 'chances are' idiom, because if it is taken, then it's not unique by definition, not chance."

"What I really want:

Not having to pay monthly subscription fees

Ensure a worldwide release

A boy can dream etc."

"Unfortunately you haven't really changed the self-perpuating cycle of flaming because your argument, and the major point you were trying to make, is one that has been discussed many times before. The DLC argument seems like it will be endless, until someone comes up with a distribution method that is more profitable!

Also, I have no idea why you call yourself an idiot at the end."
