This year will be the mother of a decent amount of video games I'm looking forward to. From sequels to new beginnings, it's looking very promising and here are my top three most anticipated to support that.
DiRT 3
Developer: Codemasters
DiRT 2 is among one of my favorite games of all time, so I guess you could call this one anticipated to a disturbing degree. With improved graphics, updated physics, brand new locations, and differentiating weather conditions, this title is piled with additions over the previous installments. Here is a video and screenshot from DiRT 3:
The oldschool Audi is one of the vehicles I'm looking forward to the most.
BRINK
Developer: Splash Damage
Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PC
One of the more promising and refreshing upcoming FPS's, BRINK promises to show off a fantastic twist on the shooter formula. A very unique S.M.A.R.T. system (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) strives to create a new experience when it comes to FPS adventures. The vast amount of customisation options only encourages my anticipation for this one. Here is a video and screenshot and video from BRINK:
The battling will take place on the Ark, an action packed slum.
Portal 2
Developer: Valve
Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Sequel to the cult classic, Portal, this game is at the top of many anticipation lists. This mind-bending puzzler offers a very distinct game-play scenario in which the player has to teleport their way through highly dangerous test chambers all the while accompanied by a witty and humorous super AI bent on destroying them. With all new game-play aspects and areas, Portal 2 is definitely promising. Here is a screenshot and video of Portal 2:
Portal 2 will be introducing two new little robots for the all new co-op mode.
