Of all the stupid wants I've had in life, my continued desire for an Atari Lynx might be the worst -- followed only by the Virtual Boy I stumbled upon around this time last year.
While ads like the one below did show the drastic difference in presentation between the Game Boy and the Lynx, the controls simply don't hold up [via The Retroist]:

Does that show the objects to scale?
This was a great system. I had one back in the day. If the battery life were not so horrible I might have even kept mine. All the system needed was some batter games because for the time it had an amazing graphics processor for the time.
