Judging by this ad, toads must really dislike turtles. In the early '90s, Battletoads and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fought for the allowance money of adolescent boys, with varying degrees of success. One franchise continues well into the 21st century with games and movies, while the other exists only as an immortal Internet meme [via The Retroist]:

Today, this aggressive ad's thinly-veiled attacks on a competing franchise only make it feel even more dated. Of course, this sort of rivalry is similar to the Mac vs PC campaign (with just as much factual information), so maybe things haven't changed all that much.
