As a huge Gears fan, I've been frustrated with the fact that the game can't figure out what it wants to be--does it want to be a sci-fi/horror shooter or a 'summer blockbuster' game? Especially after playing the first two co-op with my wife, it's the horror aspects where the games really succeed. Too bad those moments are few and far between.
