The Bitmob Featured Community Writer series focuses on you, the Bitmob community member. We dust off a writer's old articles and give them their just reward: more eyeballs. We're featuring some of your favorite contributors, some you may have overlooked, and maybe even you!
Bitmob editors love when Evan Killham posts to the Mobfeed. Usually, his articles warrant a front-page promotion, and they're easy to edit to boot.
Evan certainly does a lot for Bitmob. He displays his unique take on video games in his opinion pieces, he covers some pretty big events, and he has even raised over $1500 for charity. This is all great, but my favorite thing about Evan? He may just be the most quotable community writer. Check out the gems I yanked from some of his best stories, after learning a little bit more about the man himself.
Front-page posts
Monster of the Week: Video Games and the Cycle of Censorship: "What this bill and others like it represent are the late phases of a cycle that has played out for as long as there have been both new, popular forms of entertainment and someone to stand up and claim that they are destroying the fabric of society. The details may be different, but the basic story remains the same."
More God of War 3 Hate: In Defense of Hera: "Having played the bulk of the God of War series, I can safely say that the idea that there's some line players hope Kratos doesn't cross is nothing short of laughable. Remember that this is a guy who sets prisoners on fire."
Bitmob Splitscreen: Flawed Schemes: "What I do have a problem with, however, is the fact that the entire plan hinges upon the assassin surviving a fiery plane crash into the ocean. Because fiery plane crashes are by their very nature unpredictable, it seems ridiculous that this was the best option for Jack's return to Rapture in BioShock."

From the Mobfeed
Maxim vs. Army of Ziff: "A couple months later I learned that the twenty dollars had not exactly been wasted when I opened my mailbox and learned that my EGM subscription had been transferred to Maxim. It was that exact moment, with me standing in the courtyard of my apartment complex where my elderly neighbors could see me, staring aghast at a cover featuring Olivia Wilde and asking 'Why?' that the fun began."
Rage Quitting: Facebreaker: "It's an arcade-style cartoony fighter with all the twitchiness of high-level Tetris, twice the racism of Punch-Out!!, and the in-game help/tutorial system of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial on the Atari 2600 (by which I mean, of course, that the game doesn't have one)."
They Only Sparkle When They've Been Dead Too Long: Return to Soul Reaver: "It's difficult to imagine how this series would fare in today's vampire climate, but my guess is 'not well.' It is, for example, very difficult to imagine Raziel attempting to seduce Twilight's Bella Swan, even if we ignore the fact that he is so obviously without genitals."
