Life is strange. On my recent trip to Canada, I got "searched" at the border, but the only border I ended up crossing was of a very sexual and upsetting nature.

News Blips:

Famed Super Mario Bros. designer hopes to have Super Mario 3DS out in 2011. Shigeru Miyamoto, the super man behind Mario and Zelda, told GameBlog that he is doing everything he can to get the platformer out to players this year. I don't care, just as long as the game features a 3D tanooki suit as the logo suggests.

Mortal Kombat includes new tech that allows for stealth updates without the need for user-downloaded patches. Finally! If you know me, you know I like to bitch about games. One of my favorite things to complain about is waiting for patches to get approved before implementation on consoles. I've solved this problem, like, five years ago -- while munching on Little Caesar's Pizza and a twack of PBR. I said to myself, "why don't they just create a new technology that allows them to update it without the need for patches." As it turns out, new tech takes time, and me declaring to the universe that something should exist doesn't actually make much difference.

The infamous iPad iCade arcade peripheral is close to becoming a reality. ThinkGeek's April Fools' Joke caused a lot of people to wish that the product existed. ThinkGeek -- the good capitalists that they are -- decided that if people are willing to give them money for it, they might as well go for it. The geek-product retailer has begun taking pre-orders and expects to start shipping on May 11.

I once dreamed of controllers with air vents to cool your hands. If I actually developed that technology, instead of whoever did, I would be a poor man today.
